FBM Digest #88: SEO money pages, AI insights, and much more...

I can't believe it's Friday already!

I hope your year has got off to a great start (we're almost a quarter of the way through!). As always, I've spent the week digging for nuggets to share with you.

Here are this week's...

1. FBM EXPERT TIP: 5 TOP USES OF AI IN YOUR BUSINESS

Thousands of marketers around the world have started using AI to get ahead of the field and take their content to the next level.

If you haven't been using it, our resident AI expert, Jerry O' Brien, stopped by this week to share the most common things people are asking him to create and their use cases:

1. Social Media Posts

AI revolutionizes how you can curate content to captivate your audiences. Here’s how AI is reshaping social media content strategies:

  1. Idea Generation: Many businesses use AI to brainstorm content ideas, craft engaging topics, and draft compelling headlines.
  2. Scheduling: AI-driven tools can pinpoint the optimal times for posting, ensuring content reaches the audience when they're most attentive.
  3. Deep Dive Audience Insights: Through deep data analysis, AI uncovers incredible audience preferences, enabling marketers to tailor content for maximum relevance and impact.

2. Product Descriptions

Half of businesses leveraging AI have found it to be great at creating product descriptions. It makes them simple to digest and presents them in an accessible and engaging manner.

3. Email Marketing

Email marketing benefits immensely from AI:

  1. Timing: AI predicts the perfect time for sending emails, significantly boosting open and click-through rates by catching customers at their most receptive.
  2. Captivating Subject Lines: By analyzing the performance of past campaigns, AI generates subject lines that are more likely to pique interest, encouraging opens and engagement.
  3. Enhanced A/B Testing: AI streamlines the A/B testing process, allowing marketers to quickly determine the most effective email headlines.

4. AI-Generated Images

A lot of business owners are using AI for image creation. Beyond enhancing SEO, AI-crafted images grab attention and enrich content, whether for blogs, social media, or product images.

5. Blogs

AI has become an indispensable tool in blog post-production for more than a third of clients:

  1. Streamlined Efficiency: AI automates the tedious aspects of blog creation, from researching to drafting effective articles.
  2. Personalization: Leveraging AI to analyze customer data enables business owners to tailor blog posts to specific segments. This makes content more engaging and effective at driving conversions.

2. MARKETING TIP: THE POWER OF CONTRAST

Leverage contrast in your marketing to transcend traditional advertising and create something that is not only a motivational force but also encourages viewers to take action.

3. COMMUNITY MEMBER TIP: SEO MONEY PAGES

Ross Simmonds is an SEO expert who has worked with Moz, Canva, and Mailchimp. Here's his advice on SEO:

I have a philosophy around what I call "SEO money pages." For indie hackers, money pages consist of:

  1. Alternative pages: Showcase yourself and others as alternatives to your competitors.
  2. Comparison pages: Your product vs. your competitor's product.
  3. Migration pages: Targeting people who need to migrate from a big company's product to your product.
  4. Feature pages: Highlight in-demand features.
  5. Solution pages: Highlight the business outcomes and solutions that your customers are seeking.

These pages tend to be the highest ROI assets on SaaS websites.

Making the most out of money pages

  1. Use them for traffic acquisition, but also run re-marketing ads.
  2. Create a lead magnet that can be a softer touchpoint on these pages if the reader doesn't book a demo or buy.
  3. Include video content, and host it on YouTube with the same page title.
  4. Include these pages in the footer of your website.
  5. Optimize old blog content to link to these pages when appropriate.
  6. Embrace internal linking across this collection of landing pages, and use a pillar asset to link out to each.

Don't overlook backlinks

  1. Get backlinks. Links are what Google uses to understand what's going on on the web. Start by finding friends in the industry that you can write blog posts for. In those blog posts, link back to your own content.
  2. Aspire to the level of content that Google wants to show. Constantly have an optimization function, updating your page with new graphics, new visuals, new references to data and stats, etc.
  3. Optimize your content to demonstrate what Google calls EEAT: Expertise, Experience, Authority, and Trust. You need an author page, linking to your social channels, education, expertise, accolades, companies you've worked with, etc. All of those things demonstrate further trust and authority.

Be shameless. Promote all the time, create all the time, distribute all the time, and amplify all the time. Don't overthink it. If you've got an idea, share it.

4. FUNNEL OF THE WEEK: A VERY COOL DESIGN TO HACK

I stumbled upon this page this week, and while I have no idea if they have implemented any kind of funnel, I loved the design and cool widgets they have used, so I wanted to share it with you.

Look at how they present the information and how clean the page looks.

Check it out here.

5. FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

"Hire people who are better than you are, then leave them to get on with it. Look for people who will aim for the remarkable, who will not settle for the routine."

- David Ogilvy

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you back here next week.
