FBM Digest #61: Rethinking $97 pricing, Reddit ads, and more...

I'm not going to lie, I wrote this yesterday, and scheduled it to send right this second because I'm currently cruising down the interstate on the way to my first beach trip in years!

But, before I left, I made sure to uncover some gold, just for you. Here it is:

It's rare that anyone in the ClickFunnels world discusses SEO yet it has the potential to be a game changer for virtually all businesses. Especially those that don't have a big marketing budget.

Luckily, our Google expert Shire Lyon provided five simple steps to help get your pages ranking in Google:

"Getting your content to stand out and get noticed without spending huge sums of money on marketing can seem like a difficult task. But improving your page's SEO doesn't need to be complicated.

Here are five simple yet effective steps to elevate your page's search engine ranking:

1. Keyword Research & Optimization:

What it is: Identifying the terms your potential audience types into search engines.

How to do it: Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ubersuggest. Once you've identified these terms, naturally integrate them into your page's content, meta tags, URLs, and alt descriptions.

2. Improve Page Load Speed:

What it is: How quickly your webpage loads for a user.

How to do it: Compress large images, use browser caching, and consider a content delivery network (CDN). Google's PageSpeed Insights can provide actionable recommendations tailored for your website.

3. Mobile Optimization:

What it is: Ensuring your webpage looks and functions well on mobile devices.

How to do it: Use responsive design, ensuring your page adjusts and looks consistent across various device sizes. Regularly test your site using mobile simulators to catch any usability issues.

4. Create Quality Content:

What it is: Providing relevant and valuable information to your audience.

How to do it: Address topics your audience cares about, ensuring the content is well-researched and original. Utilize different formats, such as infographics, videos, or podcasts, to engage various audience segments.

5. Build Genuine Backlinks:

What it is: Other reputable websites linking to your page.

How to do it: Network with influencers in your industry, guest post on reputable websites, and produce high-quality, shareable content. Avoid 'black hat' techniques, such as buying links, which can harm your SEO.

Optimizing your SEO is a continual process, but by starting with these basic steps, you can significantly improve your page's visibility and ranking."

If you advertise (or have considered advertising) on Reddit, you'll be pleased to know they're expanding the interest groups you can target.

Given how specific and active Reddit's topics are, this could pave the way for some powerful marketing campaigns for your business. It's definitely worth testing.

A statement from Reddit said, "Interest targeting is our most popular form of targeting. That’s why we’re providing you with more control and transparency of your ad targeting and expanding the number of interests available to target from 66 to 152."

One of the most important questions entrepreneurs and business owners ask themselves after creating a product is how much should it be?

Picking the wrong price could ruin your sales. Luckily, Jordan Ostrikoff posted so great pricing psychology advice that should help:

"These simple tweaks on your website could increase your sales.

Price anchoring

Have you ever gone to buy a car and the salesperson shows you something way out of your price range? Then, the next car they show you has similar features, but is less expensive?

That's price anchoring. If you show the most expensive package first, your other packages will seem like a good deal in comparison.

List the most expensive bundle or products first on your website. If you don't have an expensive product, make one. Not only will you sell more of your other products, but you will also have customers who buy the expensive thing, because it's expensive.

Charm pricing

Have you ever gone into a store and noticed that every price has a "99" behind it? $4.99, $9.99, etc. The prices never have a zero behind them.

That’s charm pricing. When your brain sees a number, it processes that information fast. If there are smaller numbers behind the first number, the first number feels bigger. But, if there are larger numbers behind the first number, the first number will feel smaller.

You increase perceived value if you price your product at $10.99 vs. $10. If you go on Apple's website right now, you will see that every iPhone price ends with a 9.

Make sure the last numbers of your price are bigger than the first.

You're watching late night TV, and you see a commercial offering 11 knives for $39.99. They tell you that the entire set is actually worth $250, but you can take advantage of the special bundle pricing and get it for much less.

Implement this tactic by splitting up your product or service, and offering the other components as "free" bonuses. It will increase perceived value.

As you can see, a few simple changes can increase your sales. Make sure you always A/B split test these changes one at a time to see if they improve conversions on your site."

The funnel this week is the most recent winner of the Funnel Design-A-Thon!

As part of the Design-A-Thon, certified funnel builders create a funnel, submit it to the team, and then the members of the ClickFunnels Facebook Group vote on the winner.

The funnel voted as the best in the competition was this very nice funnel here by Brooke Giroux.

As always, check it out, let me know what you like, and hack away.
